Bringing in the New Year: Let’s Start FRESH

I am so excited that God has seen us through and brought us into the new year of 2017. Normally, everyone tends to have a New Year’s Resolution or we make a promise that we’ll either start something or end something.

Let us figure out what that is and stick to it. Consistency is key. It’s an amazing trait to build, as it’ll help you out in every other area in your life. This year, let’s learn to prioritize our destinies. If you know that you’re in a relationship or a friendship that will not help you get to where God wants you to be, then make that executive call over your life and get rid of that person. God wants us to be Holy just as He is, and if you know your mate cannot even open the Bible and pray with you, then He is not for you.

I know we may tend to see the good in someone and may feel that good people are better than people who “aren’t” good, but if they are good and don’t have a relationship with Christ, they are equivalent to the ones we identify as “bad”. God has much better in store for you and if you took a moment to trust Him, He wouldn’t fail to prove it to you.

I was supposed to do a video today, however, I may have to push that back a bit. We are starting the year fresh, and I wanted to remind you all of the reasons why I started the blog, outside of my friend bringing to my attention. I’ve realized that a lot of us young folks didn’t have much direction growing up and the generations below us are only getting worse. It seems that some parents are not able to talk to their kids about relationships in an effective manner or simply at all.

The young generation needs guidance and it’s important to me that your questions are answered honestly so that you all can learn from it and make the right decisions  moving forward. Most churches don’t feel comfortable to talk about relationships and sex and so I want this space to be just that for you all where you can feel comfortable enough to ask a question and get some advice on how to go about your situations. No question is too big or too small. At the end of the day, it’s only about what will make YOU succeed among your peers.

So anyway, I was thinking that we could start an initiative. A movement that would propel us forward in being pure and making the right decisions when it comes to our relationships. If you’re interested in this, please let me know. You can either comment or email me. Let me know if it’s something you would be interested in so that we can move forward.

Please take a moment to share these posts with your friends. What’s the purpose of good news if you’re not going to share it with those you care about?

Inside Scoop: This year, we’ll have my husband jump on board and give you guys the “man’s” perspective. I hope you’ll like that. Please start sending in your questions!

I wish you all a Happy New Year! I pray for the best for you, and just remember that God is ALWAYS there for you; even when you feel you don’t deserve it.

God loves you.
